Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) is an institution of national importance and pioneering India’s first national security and police university, Ministry of Home Affairs, established by the Parliament of India. The University aims to provide comprehensive education, research, training, and extension facilities in all aspects of national security and police to serving and retired personnel from military and paramilitary forces; security organisations; police establishments; and the student community in order to contribute to India’s vision of a prosperous and stable world by enhancing strategic cooperation with like-minded nations across the world.
In co-operation with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, RRU has also contributed to international capacity building through ITEC training & security programmes. The University has trained more than 2,100 law enforcement officials from 86 partner countries in specialised areas including forensics, cybersecurity and policing, etc., helping foster a strong spirit of knowledge-sharing, professional exchange and long-term institutional cooperation among friendly nations.
